Liverpool and Manchester City played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield in a match that saw both teams share the points. Liverpool took the lead in the 13th minute through Sadio Mane, but City equalized just before half-time through Kevin De Bruyne. Liverpool regained the lead in the 54th minute through Mohamed Salah, but City once again equalized through Riyad Mahrez in the 69th minute. Both teams had chances to win the match in the closing stages, but neither could find a winning goal.
The draw leaves Liverpool one point behind City at the top of the Premier League table. City have a game in hand, but Liverpool will be the happier of the two teams after this result.
Liverpool have now won four of their last five matches against City, and they will be confident of beating them again when the two teams meet in the Champions League quarter-finals next month.
